Angel Practice
By Cary Lynne

Before we become Angels, what should we do?
Make amends?
Difficult with time gone by.
Ask forgiveness?
That’s an everyday thing⏤to ask forgiveness. New day, new goof-ups.
Rationalize so we feel good?
Probably some, since we have to get through each day,
loving ourselves as we love others and that can be tough.
Pray?
Beautiful thing. Powerful. Indeed, pray.
Sing?
As a big banner in the house of a Christian band read
“The Lord likes me when I pray, but He loves me when I sing!”
Definitely sing.
Love?
Most certainly.
And before we become Angels
Say Hi to old friends
while they are still here
warm on the earth.
Yes, say Hi to old friends
before they become Angels.
