It's just poetry, it won't bite

Balancing on line

Ellenelizabeth Cernek-Kashk’s poem New Accident appeared here in February. This poem will make you want to blur the line between reality and magic. So stay up late or wake up early! And write a poem about it! This is the last week of National Poetry Month.

Balancing on line
By Ellenelizabeth Cernek-Kashk

In the glooming time
Day exhales the
Last of the oranges
And the night inhales
The violets of darkness
There you will find
Reality and magic
Can both be seen
In the dawn
Night exhales the
Last of slate
And the day inhales
The first of gold
There magic and reality
Both will find me
Balancing on the line
Where one can hear rainbows
