It's just poetry, it won't bite

Best Beloved

Ivy Page is editor of OVS Magazine. She holds an MFA in creative writing with a focus on poetry. She teaches at D Acres (Dorchester NH), NHTI Concord, and Keene State College. Best Beloved
By Ivy Page

I sang of times I’ve never lived in,
you wrote words like a snake
leaves a trail in tender grass.

Backlit by the cabaret
of hushed conversation,

I may have dreamed you.

I saw little pieces of each of us
break off to take root
in the loam that we made.

Our dance began.
