Murray Dunlap’s most recent poem to appear here was “The Damselfish of Hope” (March 2018).
Boats Are in My Blood
By Murray Dunlap
Boats are in my blood
An ebbing tide drifts out
Pulling me with it
Shipbuilding gave our start
Motors propelled the family
Then the war led us astray
But a Sunfish brought us home
Easing in soundless
Boats are in my blood
I enjoy reading your poems. Boats Are in My Blood, has great charm, a very nice poem. Good job.
