It's just poetry, it won't bite

Bullish Love

Ivan Jenson gives us words, but he gives the world paintings too (see his website for more of his work). You remember his last contribution, Man Made. This poem will make you laugh and ponder the concept of divided self.

Bullish Love
By Ivan Jenson

there is a part of me that sits
elderly in a rocking chair
waiting for you
and another part of me that kicks open
the rodeo gates
and bucks
like a bull in the red light
district

This is great — so fresh and visual.

  3. So vivid, I’m sure there is a lot of this that takes place. Great job.

What I liked about this poem is that it made me want to write the response… Bearish Love. Oh, I think I will.
