Champagne Days
By Harris Tobias
These are the champagne days
The air like a fine dry wine
Uncorked for our pleasure
Summer exits stage left
Her full skirts and throaty song
Was growing old
Waiting in the wings is Fall
And her strip tease act
It won’t be long now
We’ll all be titillated by her garish show
And won’t she be cold
With just a colored leaf
To cover her private parts
HaHa Harris, I love this. Very clever.
