Duality

Life is a lit wick
Glowing souls
Dipped in flesh
Bright, warm infinities
Temporarily mortified
Measurable
Particulate
Flickering graces
Casting long shadows
On the wall of history’s cave
Not because I am your friend, not because you are an extraordinary poet, but because it is the truth–this poem is profound.
