Entropy

Yarn and ink and memory
Looped into patterns
Illusions of order
I tie loose ends
Trying to finish
Scarves and poems
Before they unravel
Into abstract skeins
Tangled, like yesterday
Where the past I remember is not
What anyone else remembers
We were all there together
But we were always flying apart
Sounds like life.
