The Filling
By Cary Lynne

A blossoming through the folds
wet newness soon to be
reigned in the garden
sloppy, beauty out of longing
pink, pushed, spread,
royal love dreamt
and made.
Summer will ripen
a baby Giovanni
or perhaps a tiny Charlotte.
