Addicts writhe
one rush to next. Adrenalin surge
throbbing deadlines blur work into cold-

sweat frenzies.

Work-ethic dogma pushes red-eyed needles
into high achievers who want job done bureaucrat’s

paper trail

Monday to Friday breath held 120 hours

until TGIF furlough
one happy hour
one freeze-dried weekend

token treats
for obedient circus elephants.
