Leaning into a Whisper (from Grace)
By Brandon Stauffer

It began with a hallucination I’m sure
These delusions of grandeur
Convincing me I was something
More than a humble
Unassuming
–Artist.

But then I wonder what
Ever could we define as reality
For surely there is truth
In manifesting one’s
Purpose upon the
Weavings of
–Possibility.

I find myself listening, again
To the ravings of this madman
Who sits in judgment of
The best laid
–Plans.

Yet hope returns with
Sanity in tow, promising
Silver linings and
Sunny days
For those who
Persevere and
Lean into her
–Whispers.

This is a brilliant poem from a very talented young poet. He has captured something all artists feel from time to time. 🙂
