Life’s Regatta

Kathryn Tate Jacoby’s To Don Quixote was posted in honor of June graduates. Today we have a summery slice of advice. It’s the right time for a regatta, and it’s never the wrong time to consider our strategies. Is yours working for you right now?

Life’s Regatta
By Kathryn Tate Jacoby

When the sea grows rough
And the winds blow wild
When the storms of life
Make you feel like a child–
Change your tack, my friend
Change your tack

When the doldrums strike
And you can’t move on
When the sails are flat
And the breeze is gone–
Change your tack, my friend
Change your tack

For life is unpredictable
And winds of change they turn
And if you don’t steer
Your own ship, friend
Hard lessons you will learn
This piece of advice don’t spurn …
… Change your tack
