It's just poetry, it won't bite

Love Song in Hi-Fi

William C Ross appeared here recently with To Pen Sylvania. As you know, William makes a daily exercise out of “versifying” the word of the day at Dictionary.com. Today’s word was “fealty.” What would you do with that word? I would give it back and take a new one! But I couldn’t write this either. Kudos William!

Love Song in Hi-Fi
By William C Ross

At times, our love song sounded strange–
Tweeter, woofer, sometimes mid-range–
But with every passing day and year,
The melody and harmony were always clear.

Through dissonance, sometimes hard to ignore,
The tune remained faithful to the score.
A few notes drifted into a minor key,
But nothing changed the high fidelity.
