Mirrored
By Christopher Roe

If you stand just right
between two mirrors
you go on forever.

It’s an immortality
of reflected glory
signifying nothing.

You become
the middleman
to infinity.

Individual clones
in separate rooms
mimic each other.

Bouncing off silvered back
to silvered back
where front can see the back.

Until you can’t tell
if you are real
or merely mirrored.

One Response to “Mirrored”

  1. You have so cleverly reminded us of vanity, wishfulness and what’s not important.
