Parallel to the Storm
By Josh Dale

I run parallel to the storm
grazing death on my arm-hairs
tingling magnetism
It watches all of the crimson tears
opalescent tears
violet bruises
sunburst orange heart
throbs to life in valleys peak.

Even if the wind whips me off my feet
moments toward horizon love—
into oblivion and forever gone—
I look West,
for the sun sets magnificence
somewhere.
