renewal #2
By Milt Montague

after 25 years I still love
to hold you in my arms
a gentle warmth flows
across our skin barrier
the tender aftermath of passion

we sit in the park entrance
enjoying the flow of people
women wheeling baby carriages
smiling strollers and runners

kids on scooters
serious cyclists
all joining in

a return to
the primal garden
for renewal
