Eclectic Flash is a nonprofit online literary journal dedicated to providing high-quality flash literature. What you read here will run the gamut from fiction to poetry to essays to scripts, but each piece will be 1000 words or less. Visit the site today to read, purchase, or listen to writers read their work.

Author extraordinaire, Amy Sue Nathan has had work published by the Chicago Tribune, Huffington Post, and Imperfect Parent, just to name a few. She has written several attention-getting blogs and her essays have been published in anthologies and in other forums. Amy is currently working on her first novel and it's a good one (vox poetica can testify, having gotten a preview of an advance draft).

An inspiring site of nested work, each piece building on a previous piece, that accepts art in visual, auditory, and written forms. Written  work can take the form of prose or poetry.

Caper Literary Journal
Showcases writing, art, and music that,
like the speakeasy aesthetic, is aberrant,
daring, sensual, prohibited, confessional,
and intoxicating.

Kim Rendfeld is a writer of historical fiction, specifically, stories set in eighth-century Europe. A wordsmith from her earliest days, Kim has impeccable research skills and an instinct for the meat of a story. After about 20 years in journalism, she decided to work in higher ed at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. Kim’s fiction takes the reader back to another time via the familiar routes of human longing and drama (vox poetica can attest, having read selections of her works). For a look at Kim's novels as she pursues a publishing deal, visit her web site.
