It's just poetry, it won't bite

Summer

Who better to speak to the joys of summer than a kid sprung from school! Coby Breen will be returning to the confinement of school next month. He is entering the seventh grade. He is also a talented goalie, training in elite programs and keeping penalty kicks off the scoreboard for his soccer club. The simplicity of his poem speaks for all of us as we cling to the last days of this glorious season.

Summer
By Coby Breen

The hot day,
Sun blazing,
No escape from the heat.
Water evaporating,
Sticky,
Melting away.
Time to play,
Pools open,
No school.
All fun!
Vacations.
Summer.
