You were the reason I wanted to leave.
You were the reason I stayed.
You were the reason I stayed.
Yours was the voice I wouldn’t hear,
Then came to rely in, believe in.
You were the grain of sand
Inside my shell, then the pearl,
The inspiration for my desire
To become part of the necklace.
