The Night is Calling
By Laura Zucca-Scott
For the poem I have not written
And the courage I have not found
Silence engulfs
Life and its essence
I am too tired to be angry
Too angry to be at peace
While resting is not an option
The night is calling
Youth is a mere reflection
painted on the sidewalk puddles
I could stare for hours
And still not feel a thing
Although sad, I feel your strength.
Wow, many layers here. Great last stanza.
