The Grove went
Twilight
To the beat
Of bongos

In the street
The cabbie never
Had a chance
License expired
Men in blue
Saddled
On 300 horses

The band played
“Push Come to Shove”

I thought of you
And wanted to
run
But the meter
Flagged red
