32nd Testimony to Everafter

I got the door

complete with questionable stains
on stained glass filled bullet holes
up and down it all over and over
again it flies off unhinged again
it rushes to shut
on aggressive door to door
fairytale salesmen

I cringe

with each cold tug
and the ongoing twists
and over used
battered knob after knob chase
a steeple on the other side
another on the other side
mad from swinging back and forth so

I got the door
