Contributor Series 7: The Confessional Diary of Bone
untitled
By Michael Richmond
Bones all tell a story
From dinosaurs to doctors
Broken by accident
Or pulverized by fury.
On display their archaic color
shows the tests of time
And x-rays show pins which tell just how brittle they can be.
Even the most infallible man’s frame
Which is thought to be made of steel
Can be crushed by the most fragile woman
And show that is really soft as sand.
So when you see that cast
That exhibit
Or that one full of pain
Stop, think, and listen
Bones all tell a story.
Michael had another untitled poem appear at vox poetica in July.
Written with meaning and authority.
