It's just poetry, it won't bite

Incandescence

John Sherer gave us the delightful Veer
earlier in the fall. Writing from Trinity College in Hartford, CT, John
seems to know from what he writes. He presents a poetic view of light
and time in this poem. How many of us sometimes stop writing to take
notice of the changing nature of light and time? How many of us
struggle to find our own brightness in those dark hours that slide over
us unannounced?

Incandescence
By John Sherer

The day exceeds the light
I wake to winter night
Where summer would be hours lit
I’m left to make things bright.
