It Is Spring Again
By Judith Dreyer
Yet the in between remained blank
You left me before you were gone.
I searched for you in my dreams.
Once you walked by my side there.
I could not find you.
Silent as a whisper, fleeting as the wind
Your love surrounds me now.
I can move again to its whisper.
Though I cannot explain how I know
Your love touches me and wants me to begin again.
You were like the season of summer
Leaving me in the autumn.
I watched your colors fade as winter blew in.
I am grateful it is spring again.
Lovely, Judith. I love the line:
You left me before you were gone.
