A Singular Identity
By Frank Cavano

A fantasy chasing fantasies, a dream
dreaming–no more than these are
we who trumpet our individuality as
if it were a something more than just
a fleeting, feverish, picayune illusion.

A fantasy made of wish, a dream of
fearful outcomes posing, ever posing
as reality, parading from our limited
awareness to nowhere, ever ignoring
the awesome, permanent and simple
Beauty of What as One We Truly Are.

This is truly a metaphysical poem and full of insights into the questions about not only our identity but our place in the universe. I love it!
