Caption for My Life

do i sing well enough
into your folds of waves?
collapsing and recreating, at once?
i’m so mesmerized by your nonchalance
that i wonder if i am any other
than divine depths of no end;
and i do not want to stop there;
who’d want a cusp of wisdom and compassion?

but this is it–it’s a hard time in letting go
of this room of options seeming; because they do seem so,
but when i look
they can’t be found as what i thought they were;

in fact, by not i’m not even the same,
as i’m reassembled over and over,
like waves are to the ocean–
