Cloud

By Dawnell Harrison

My ravished tears cloud
And freeze to ice drops

In this negative twenty
Degree weather.

The timid light does
Not enfold me in its arms.

It’s a day for a silent shroud
Of ghosts, stalactites in caves,

And bats coming up like
Large, dark shadows
In the sullen night.
