Crumbling Away

Gary Beck’s most recent poem to appear here was “Diversions II” (December 2018).

Crumbling Away

extravagantly pursuing
objects of desire.
Those who have not
struggle to survive,
resources dwindling,
as winter’s arrival
makes daily existence
more demanding.
