Forward Movement

In dire need of validation
In dire need of hope
We spin our gears in tedious plays to gain forward movement
Profit, security, sanity, love
We hope for more
And more
But we backpedal in times of conflict
In times lacking grace
We pray for resolution
We pedal forward for profit, security, sanity, love
We evolve into grinding wheels
Our forward motion gives the illusion
Of hope
And productivity
One more time
