When I close my eyes and dream of that time I see
The best of you
There was a quiet rumble in the earth
There was music in the pavement
There was electricity in the air
You were a beautiful display of humanity
Whose story connected
With hope, joy, regret, sadness,
But it was the strength and the force of future
That lied in wait
You were amazing all along
Quietly waiting for both of us
To be what we should
Every corner of you has left something in me
Beautiful people and incredible souls
I saw every wrinkle in your weathered face
We now see every seed that was planted
Has become something that reaches so much higher
Into the universe
Beyond our imagination
My heart is full.
