Harris Tobias last gave us A Disquisition on Spoons, which appeared at words to linger on in July. No disquisition here! Today he gives us a sampling of his haiku. While not following the precise syllabic prescriptions for haiku, these poems are traditional for the form in terms of their subject matter and their descriptive power. So, what’s holding you back? The summer’s end
some early leaves are falling
trying to beat the rush
