Happy Birthday
By Manny Beltran

I was dressed to the nines
I put my best foot forward
Another year had passed
Another year closer to the grave
But I was blessed … I had you

Time can pass so quickly
Lost in the arms of the one you love
Minutes turn into years
And every moment is bliss
And so I wait for my love

The hours go by and I wait
A missed reservation is not the end
We can reschedule such things
And time can go so slow alone
My love will soon be here

It was just another day for you
The bills have to get paid
You had no choice but to work
It’s just another year for me
Happy Birthday Manny
