Hungry Guy
By Marc Carver

All my life I thought I was different
not special
but different in a way that most people could see
now they look through me
as if
I was not there
they know I am
but they don’t see what I am.
I don’t look at myself
too much either
too much introspection
can’t be good for a man.

Too much anything can’t be good
but love
give me as much as you can world
I will take it
and eat it all
