I Remember . . .
By Rojane Jesper

I remember still
one long-ago day,
I took
my little son to play.
He had kicked off his shoes
and had run with glee
And watching him
had delighted me.
My boy, he had danced
in the noonday sun
And I had danced with him
till I was dizzy and done.
I had held him close
under an azure sky
That day of spring and
my son and I.
