Ice Baby
By Mariah Boone

Walking across the H-E-B parking lot
Cradling a bag of ice across my abdomen
(to pour into the cooler in the trunk en route to the island)
I think maybe I will just take up raising ice-bag babies
They are such a comfort to you in June and July
And they melt quickly, becoming no trouble at all.

This poem made me smile. I could really tune it to my life– nice. Others will do that with the poem — good work.
