maybe it’s back
By Charlotte Rauner
It happened
yesterday
right before
it
left.
It stayed
after
he
made
it come.
This morning
it came
right before
I thought
about her.
But maybe
it’s back
to stay,
hopefully.
Maybe it
will wash away
those nightmares.
Maybe this smile
won’t leave
this time.
I wish,
I hope
that maybe
it’s back.
