It's just poetry, it won't bite

Pushcart Prize Nominations

Yes, it’s that time of year again! Talk about making a list and checking it twice!
I was able to nominate for both vox poetica and unbound CONTENT this year, which means double the poems so honored. unbound CONTENT published 5 titles this year (two releasing in the next week–more on that later!), giving me about 200 poems to choose from there, and at vox there were about 425 eligible poems to choose from. The short lists alone were not so short, with about 10% of the poems making it to that point. But what I’m left with, yet again, is an amazing sense of gratitude to you all for giving me such marvelous work to publish.
Here are the nominees:
unbound CONTENT
If I stop to pick up a leaf  by Sarah Endo, published in From 9/11 to a New Year
The Silence of Wind  by Kay Middleton, published in From 9/11 to a New Year
Daily Double by Nate Spears, published in Inspiration 2 Smile (to be released 12/1)
I dropped it again  by Rae Spencer, published in From 9/11 to a New Year
Writing is like this by Cassie Premo Steele, published in This is how honey runs
Unheard  by Chris G Vaillancourt, published in From 9/11 to a New Year

vox poetica
Hearts  by Mariah Boone, published as part of Contributor Series 4: Aspects of the Elephant
Gifts Not Errors  by Louis Gallo, published as part of Contributor Series 6: A Currency of Words

New Wave/New Vogue  by Jeffrey Grunthaner
They Speak of Hearts by Telly McGaha, to be published as part of Contributor Series 7: The Confessional Diary of Bone
Gloved Hands  by A’Yara Stein
Please join me in congratulating these writers on their amazing work, so representative of the mission of vox poetica and unbound CONTENT. And kudos to each and every writer who helps to weave this rich tapestry of words. An editor/publisher’s dream!
