A river runs amok
Running through this little town of the old South
The tide is flowing thin
The waters are running out
It’s been in the making
For a long time now
Change is evident
Change gone come now

Sometimes fun runs deep
Even when funds have run out
A river’s current is at heart
A change of course rips us of current doubt
A stormy forecast brings reason

Change gone come
Change gone come by choice
Or by force
The waters change the course
Of the world that rains life
Everything mankind resides around the swirl ice
Aligning me next to a shoulder that’s so cold

It’s a long time coming
New course,  new day,
Still keep running
Run a new way
Change gone come.
