Sparklers

Winter of my waking hours
no quilt caught my attention.

(2)

When you find most of it is wasteful you’re
in the vicinity of unvarnished truth.

(3)

Know the TV anchors they dislike
know their inclinations.

(4)

Abasement and ensuing shame
incentivizes our perpetrator.

(5)

Like disparate pages get wound in diaries
you and I belong to one binder.

(6)

Those who cap it, perfect it. If you need
this or that, you’re away from it all.

(7)

When you can’t explain, it is meant to be.
Maybe it’s a story of an also-ran.
