Sunrise

By Sandy Patton

Splendid silence at new morn’s light.
Savor a brush of faint breeze upon
skin, a barely there, featherlike caress.
Soft splashes of river waters kiss the
shore, as a hushed sanctuary awakens.
She arrives, elegantly clad in brilliant
shades of shimmery, golden dawn.
