time travel
By Milt Montague

holding tightly to my sled
the wind caresses my face
as I speed easily
down the hill
on the compacted snow

I am my ten-year-old self
having a great time
back in Lincoln Terrace Park
Brooklyn, New York

the thrill lingers
as I trudge happily
back up for
a repeat delight
