Tired Leaves
By Alan Zhukovski
By Alan Zhukovski
Lights are creeping
To the end of the street.
Merry poplars
Are dancing
To the music of the night.
You can hardly see the wind.
You can hardly see the reason
Why they move.
But their bodies
Around the fire
Seem to be like ancient warriors
After a victory.
Sleepy tired leaves–
Unwillingly–
Are thrown into dance.
A cat is watching their motion,
While the wizard is establishing the moonlight.
Whitish sauce for cloud fishes
In the pool of darkness.
