Urban Offerings to the Wild
By Mariah Boone

The chickadees with black-striped faces
Especially like the pumpkin loaf
From Starbucks

It has seeds across the top

You can crumble it across the courtyard
And they will come pop-hopping to eat it
Warily close
I offer it whenever I can
