What Did She Discover?

“It’s all so interesting.”—That’s what
she said—just before she died.
And it was; and it is.
But why then, and why not before?
Late the hour, late the moment.
Late, so late. Until . . . until, at last—
She looked around her one more time.
Smiled in satisfaction.
And then she died.
