Or hear anymore, the audience roar
Die down.
They have dropped the lights,
And with them,
A burning feeling sinks–
Burning across my chest,
I think I know this feeling.
I was holding your hand, with the picture reeling,
But this is warmer than the rest.
And the show’s about to start–it is flashing in my mind.
But I can’t see, not you, anymore.
Not through this loud darkness.
The sound of a dark sequel, of a dark show
Played across town.
Great metaphor.
