A Baby Fascinated by a Coke Can Remembers
By Wendy Freborg

Oh, my Coke can friend,
You were so bright.
Your red was like no other.

I gave my heart, my happy talk to you.
I thought the light that glinted from your curves
Would shine on me forever.

Where have you gone?
I thought we were best friends forever.
You were smooth but you were also cold and hard.
An afternoon is all we had.
