A Disorganized Setting
By Babatunde Lamidi

What do you see when you look around?
What do you hear when you listen?
What do you feel when you touch?

I see humans detached from the earth
taken to a place where freedom is
a disguise

I hear voices of distinct but unrecognizable
sounds penetrating through small apertures
intertwined

I feel the gestures and movements of a broken-
hearted being, smooth and rough surfaces,
penetrating

The perceptions of my five senses:
Are they disorganized or am I blind?
