lighting grins collars modulated under
camera’s loving eye numbers dipped
in bleach dispensed with tongs

key turns fan belt squeals radio screams a
suicide bomber’s handiwork shakes the car
doctor says you’ve got the wrong gene
pull into this Green Zone and breathe
