Cue Curtain
By Risica Caputi

The Reaper follows you around
Like a newly acquired puppy.
Constantly following, following, stalking you.
Nipping at your heels
Vying for your attention.
Then one blessed morning you awaken
Only to find poop in your shoe.
And in that moment

You know it’s over.
